Hey folks. I usually don't get this lucky, but I'm rolling with it. As it turns out we are shooting the CIA two days in a row. For information about what to bring on Thursday, 7/28, just scroll down one post to Wed, 7/27.

If you are returning from Wed, 7/27 please bring everything back with you that you wore today in addition to some other options. That way if we need to match we can, and if we need more, we will have it.

Thanks, as always for reading the blog and bringing the great stuff that you do.
See you on the set!!

WEDNESDAY 7/27 CIA HEADQUARTERS

Hello folks, sorry that you had to wait a bit for this information. Had a couple of busy days and late nights.

We are still in Early Spring in our story. It is warmer outside, but not yet the heat of summer. Everyone should bring a light weight jacket in case you need to look as if you are entering or exiting the building.

The color palette is one of restraint. Color is fine, just nothing too bright or flashy. Work place colors and patterns. Neutrals like tan, brown, grey, black, navy, burgundy, dk green, teal, gold, ect.

Following find the information for the seperate categories of BG players for the day:

CIA OFFICERS should bring several options to include suits and ties/scarves, sport coats and slacks with dress shirts. Ties and scarves should not be too loud or busy. Please bring the appropriate shoes, belts and accessories to work with your options.

ADMIN TYPES & CIA ANALYSTS should bring several options of work appropriate wear. Long sleeve button front dress shirts and ties, slacks/skirts, appropriate work blouses (means nothing too sexy) light weight sweaters/sweater sets, vests. Don't forget to bring the appropriate shoe, belt and accessory choices.

FBI AGENTS should bring options of dark suits, white and cream shirts and dark ties. Ties should be as simple as possible with out a lot of noticeable pattern. Dark shoes and belts.

Thanks in advance for bring all the good stuff to help us make you look great.
See you on the set!!

TUESDAY, 7/26 CHURCH

First let me say that if you are looking for the post about MONDAY 7/25, please scroll down to the next post. There you will find the information that you need for that day. It is listed as
MONDAY 7/25 PUB, CAMPUS & MILITARY

For those of you that are working TUESDAY, 7/26 at the CHURCH, please read this post for all that you will need for that day.

For our actual Congregants who will be joining us, let me say welcome and thank you! We are shooting early spring in our show, so we want you to keep that in mind while choosing your
"Church Clothes" for Tuesday. The color palette is one of late winter/early spring and is more subdued than the current summer time palette. The best colors are neutrals like brown, tan, grey, cream, black. Color is welcomed but keep them more muted like navy, teal, burgundy, gold, dark green, rusts, purples, etc. Nothing to brightly colored or with too busy a pattern.

The goal is to see everyone as a whole, not to notice too much the individuals. No big hats or other items that will draw the eye. Please wear your first, best choice and bring options. Please bring a mix of things from dressy to less dressy. Suits and ties, sport coats, light weight sweaters. Dresses, skirts and blouses, slacks, etc.

Following find the info the the BG for the CHURCH day:
For the church scene, please read the above and follow the directives there.

OLDER CHURCH LADIES will be the ones preparing and fussing over the refreshments. Please bring a choice of dresses and sweaters, etc. Shoes to work with your choices. If you have aprons that you wear at home please bring those with you.

BOYS & GIRLS should all be dressed nicely for church. Make sure to include dress choices for the girls and suit, jacket/sportcoat or sweater vests for the boys. Whatever you have for the children that makes them feel and look "dressed up." Don't forget the shoes to go with these clothes.

JARHEADS& WIVES, OFFICERS AND WIVES should all bring clothes for church, per the above. You will not be wearing a uniform in church. Some of you may be playing in later scenes. If so, the choices for that are described below.

VETERANS & SCRUFFY LOOKING VET will be playing in the VET SUPPORT GROUP. This is a casual setting. Please bring options to include jeans, khakis, cargo, long and short sleeve tees, hoodies, light weight sweaters, light weight jackets, sport coats to wear with jeans, etc. We are playing early spring and it is still cool at night. In the script it rains that night, so a light rain coat for set dressing might be good.

If you happen to have any clothing that indicates a branch of the military; a tee with USMC on it, a hoodie with ARMY, etc, please include these items with your other choices. The director would love to see a smattering of these "real" items on some of our vets. Casual shoes and sneakers that work with your choices.

If you are one of our SCRUFFY VETS, maybe don't shave that day and bring some choices that are a little old or worn out. Jean jackets, leather jackets, faded jeans, old flannel shirts etc. Nothing too shabby, we don't want you to look homeless, just not as put together as some of the other folks.

We realize it is a tall order, but are confident in the ability of all of you to bring great options for us to put together a wonderful looking day. Thanks in advance and we look forward to meeting all of you.
See you on the set!!

MONDAY 7/25 PUB, CAMPUS & MILITARY

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Glad that you'll all be joining us on Monday. It will be a busy day, but I'm sure you are up to the challenge.

We are shooting several scenes with several different looks and many of you will be working in all of them, so please read all the following info carefully and do your best to bring all that you can for all the different looks.

PUB is an upwardly mobile urban professional place....a yuppie bar! Everyone should bring options that are work appropriate. This is the watering hole for the lawyers, wall street types and CEO's, both men and women alike. Some of the patrons are from the CIA.
PUB PATRONS & POOL PLAYERS & OLDER MEN Everyone should bring things that are upscale and work appropriate. Suits and sport coat and blazers, skirts and slacks. Light weight sweaters, shirts and ties, work blouses, ect. The colors should be somewhat subdued. We are in early spring so keep the season in mind when packing.

CIA PATRON same as above, but with a mix of a few more casual things as well. If you have played with us before as a CIA member, you will know the mix that I am talking about. Sport coats, light weight jackets, pullovers, as well as a suit and ties and more upscale items.

BARTENDERS please bring black pants and a black tee shirt and black long sleeve, button front shirt. Also please bring a long sleeve white button front shirt.

COLLEGE CAMPUS
Following are the categories that will be playing on the college campus:

PROFESSOR please bring slacks, khakis, skirts, long sleeve button front shirts/blouses, sport coats/blazers, suits and ties, light weight sweaters. I think we all know what the "professor look" is, and there's a reason for it. Bring all that stuff :-) Bring satchels and bookbags that a teacher would carry if you have it.
STUDENTS please bring options of jeans and khakis, skirts, etc. It is still early spring. Hoodies, sweatshirts, pullovers, button downs, sneakers, dock shoes. Ball caps with no logos. Many of you are listed as STUDENT WITH BIKE, etc. Please bring the props that you are listed with, but everyone should bring their ipods, skateboards, backpacks, cell phones, etc. Please no shorts, we haven't gotten there yet in our story.
LAWN MAINTENANCE please bring a pair of work boots or dark sneakers and a pair of khaki pants. We will provide you with a uniform shirt.

MILITARY
The men playing soldiers will be getting uniforms from the costume dept. All of these men should bring a black pair of socks to wear with your boots. Following find the other categories:
BOYS & GIRLS should bring options of play clothes/school clothes. This is a Flashback and takes place in 2001. The best way to communicate a time difference with children is to dress them like children, not miniature versions of adults. So please bring options for the children that seem like children's clothing. We are playing this as early spring, so not shorts. Girls may have dresses and pants and tops, boys in jeans and tees and button front shirts. Try to keep the colors from being too bright or summery. Maybe bring light weight jackets for them as well. We are putting a jean jacket on our leading lady.
WIVES should bring early spring choices. Jeans, slacks, dresses, tops and tees. Nothing too brightly colored as it is a Flashback. Please bring some light weight jackets. Simple jewelry and shoes. Also bring a handbag/purse to work with your clothes.
VETERANS I understand that there may be some actual Veterans joining us. Please bring your dress military uniform, Class A or the equivalent, to wear on the day, with our thanks! We will be shooting out of doors, so your covers will be required.

I know it's a lot to absorb and remember. Thank you in advance for all your hard work and for bringing all the good stuff that we know you will.
See you on the set!

THURSDAY, 7/21

Hey folk! Thanks for joining us on the HOMELAND train. We have finally moved into warmer weather on the show. But wait, we still have one more scene to shoot for 102, and there we are playing late winter/early spring. So......that means you should bring options that would include a light weight jacket appropriate for outdoors, long sleeve shirts and blouses. But you will also need options for 103 which is now the end of March, so it is warmer. Not tank tops and shorts warm yet, but warmer. Short sleeve options would work here.

The color palette is one of neutrals such as grey, tan, brown, cream and black and colors like, purple, green, gold, navy, burgandy, teal, etc. The colors should not be too bright or summery, but color is good. Pattern and texture is good, just nothing too busy or eye catching.

You will be out of doors in a neighborhood. Some of you will be driving, some will probably be in yards or walking on the street. I say all this to let you know the kinds of clothing that is appropriate.

Everyone should bring several options to include jeans, cargos, khakis, sneakers, work boots, polo shirts, long sleeve button front shirts, long sleeve pullovers, hoodies and light weight jackets for the 102 scene. No obvious logos. Ball caps without logos would be good, and for the women maybe a visor or, dare I say it, a straw hat :-) Throw in your gardening gloves for good measure.

Don't forget, we will need light weight jackets and hoodies to work for the first scene, then the weather gets warmer. Thanks in advance for all the great stuff that I'm sure you'll bring.
See you on the set.

WEDNESDAY, 7/20 BRODY HOUSE

Hello everyone! So glad you'll be joining us. Following you will find the info on the things that we would like you to bring for the BRODY BARBEQUE! We are shooting a gathering at the BRODY HOUSE. The attire is dressy casual. Everyone should bring lots of options so that we can make everyone look as good as possible, and individual as well

We have finally moved up in the season in our show and are into a bit warmer weather. We are playing this as the end of March. So it's warm-ish, but not summer warm. Realistically, it would also be a bit cooler at night.

The color palette is one of spring. Nothing terribly bright or too summery, but color should certainly be in the mix. Purple, teal, green, burgundy, gold, etc. Also more neutrals like tan, cream, brown, grey, maybe even a little black....not too much, but maybe a little. :-)

MEN should bring several options to include nice jeans, khaki slacks, long sleeve button front shirts, polo shirts, pullover light weight sweaters. Maybe throwing in a light weight fashion jacket or a vest, couldn't hurt, right. Texture and pattern are good, just nothing too bold or busy. Subtle plaids and stripes or sweaters with some texture. Solid is good too. Don't forget your shoes and belts that work with these clothes.

WOMEN should bring several options to include nice jeans, slacks, casual skirt options. Also tops to go with these bottoms. Maybe some little cardigans to wear over something. Think about the color palette mentioned above. These can be fun casual tops, but nothing that is too "club" oriented. These folks are friends getting together at someone's home. Don't forget belts, your jewelry and of course, your shoe choices to go with all of this. Bring a handbag that would work with your clothes and you might be able to keep your things with you.

WED 7/13 NIGHTCLUB

Hi folks! So glad you'll be joining us. At least you will not be out in the sun in winter coats, as many of our other BG players have had to do. If any of you have been with us on those days, all we can say is thank you!

We are still playing late winter, but seasonal rules don't always apply as much when talking about night life. This will be a sophisticated and upscale place so we want everyone to look great. Ladies, I know that even in the winter you don't always wear a coat when going out.
Freeze from the car to the bar!! However, if you would include a wrap or a pashmina or something like that then we can winter it up a bit.

The palette is still one of late winter: darker colors and patterns, greys, blacks, browns, burgundy, teal, dk green, navy, ect.
So no bright, primary colors or summer colors.

EVERYONE SHOULD WEAR THEIR FIRST CHOICE AND BRING THE OTHER CHOICES TO EXTRAS HOLDING WITH YOU WHEN YOU CHECK IN.

Following find examples of the things that we'd like to see. Also find the instructions for the different specialty BG.

PRINCE'S BODY GUARDS should bring dark suits, shoes and belts. Shirts in white, cream, lt grey, and dark, more simple ties.

PRINCE'S LADIES should bring as many choices as you have. Think sophisticated and elegant, but SEXY!! Short shorts, mini skirts and tops, little dresses, halter dresses, etc and sexy shoes!!

TUESDAY 7/12 MALL & BRODY HOUSE

Hello folks. Following you find the information for Tuesday, 7/12, for work at the MALL and exterior BRODY HOUSE. Everyone will essentially be playing 3 people. 1 outside the mall, 1 outside BRODY'S house, and one inside the mall. We will need everyone to bring enough of the following to make up three different folks.

We are playing late winter/early spring, so everyone must bring mid to light weight outer wear in the color palette because 2 of the scenes tomorrow are outdoors. Also, everyone should bring hats and scarves and gloves, because we are shooting something to insert in an existing scene where everyone has on these items.

The color palette is one of neutrals: black, brown, grey, tan, cream. And colors like dk green, teal, burgundy, purple, gold, etc. Pattern and texture is good, just nothing too bold or busy.

As you will all have to bring some of everything, I am going to describe the kinds of things that we want for the different scenes.

INTERIOR MALL bring selections of jeans, slacks, skirts. Long sleeve shirts and blouses. Also sweaters, hoodies, light weight fashion jackets. You should all have some choices of more dressy and more casual so that we can mix it up. Remember that you are in a mall so don't make the dressy TOO dressy. Of course, don't forget appropriate shoes for all your choices, as well as the belts, jewelry and other accessories, including hats and scarves. Ladies, please bring a handbag that will work with your costume choices.

OLD LADY WITH WALKER please bring pantsuits, dresses, onion skin track suits, polyester slacks, and tops and cardigan sweaters, etc. Basically, it's your quintiscential TV grandma. Please bring some vintage jewelry, if you have it as well as things that are current. Sneakers and other "comfortable" shoes. Don't forget the fantastic vintage handbag that I am sure you have.

EXTERIOR MALL the kinds of clothing is the same as for the INTERIOR MALL, but we must wear mid to light weight jackets, hats and scarves. Everyone must bring these as options for the exterior scenes.

EXTERIOR BRODY HOUSE will once again be outside and once again be inserted into a scene that we shot during the actual winter, so this one needs to match the footage that we have. This means coats, scarves and hats... Following you will find the division of Who's Who and what the look is for each:

Reporters should have both a more dressy look and a more casual. The dressy look to be something for "on air" reporters, like suits, sportcoats/blazers and slacks or skirts, long sleeve shirts and blouses, ties and scarves and jewelry and other accessories. Trench coats and long overcoats are best with this look.
The casual look for Reporters can be one of jeans, khakis with pullover sweaters, cardigans, sweater sets, long sleeve button front shirts and blouses maybe with ties and no sport coat/blazer. More casual outer wear will be fine for this look.

Photographers, Cameramen and Soundmen should bring changes to include jeans and khakis and cargo pants & black or grey pants. Looking for layers here. Vests, sweaters, hoodies, etc. Everyone should bring winter coats in the same neutral color palette as well as any scarves, caps and winter gloves that you have. Nothing too bright or eye-catching. Not too much pattern.

Cop(s) will be provided a uniform from the Costume Department. However, we ask that you bring a white, crew neck tee shirt, black socks and black lace up shoes.

Thanks in advance for bringing great stuff and lots of it. We have to be able to do the multiple day/mulitple person thing, so we will need lots of choices. We are looking forward to meeting you all and will see you on the set!!!

MONDAY 7/11

Hey guys and gals. Now it's time for the "play within the play." You'll be crew members of a TV show on a TV show.

It is still late winter in our little drama, so all choices need to have long sleeves, and everyone should bring light to mid-weight winter jackets.

The color palette is also one of late winter: neutrals like tan, brown, grey, cream, black, and colors like burgandy, dk green, navy. Pattern and texture is good, just nothing too loud or busy.

Everyone should bring enough options to be able to come up with 3 outfits for three different screen days.

Following find the looks of the different categories:

GRIPS, SET DRESSERS, ELECTRICIANS should all bring lots of options to include jeans, cargo pants, long sleeve tees, short sleeve tees for layering, long sleeve thermal pullovers, hoodies, caps with no logos, closed toe shoes that you could work in and a mid to light weight jacket.

DP, PRODUCER'S ASST, STYLIST & ART DIRECTOR should all bring lots of options to include jeans, slacks/skirts, long sleeve button front and pullover shirts and blouses, sweaters, hoodies, fashion jackets and mid to light weight outerwear jackets. Don't forget the shoes, belts and accessories that work with your choice of clothing.

Once again, everyone should bring enough options for us to come up with 3 different outfits. And everyone should have a mid to light weight jacket/coat with them.

Thanks in advance for bringing great stuff and we look forward to meeting you tomorrow.
See you on the set!!

FRIDAY 7/8

It's a pool party, baby! So we are shooting what is to be the pool area and locker room of an upscale hotel. That means that you ladies will be upscale guests! This pool is an indoor pool.

We feel that darker and/or more solid swimsuits will communicate the upscale nature better than brightly colored, multi-patterned suits. Black, navy, taupe, even cream or paler colors as long as they are solid in color. Darker is preferred, but we recognize that you will have what you have. It is fine for the suits to have embellishments such as sequins or rhinestones.

Also, please feel free to bring cover-up garments, poolside bags, sunglasses, nice flip flops and sandles. Also, some blingy type jewelry might be a fun twist, so bring a bag of that as well.

HOTEL POOL WORKER should bring options of black, khaki and grey slacks, and black, khaki or grey shorts. Longer shorts, or walking shorts would be preferrable. Also any solid colored polo shirts that you might have including black, navy, pale blue, grey, etc. Just nothing too summery in color. Shoes should be a small, subtle sneaker or perhaps a boat shoe like a TopSider.

Thanks in advance for all the great things that we know you will bring. We look forward to working with you. See you on the set!!!

THURSDAY 7/7

Back to the CIA!!
First, let's establish that we are in Late Winter/Early Spring. This means long sleeves and closed toe shoes. Jackets, sweaters, layers, etc are all indicative of the time of year that we are wanting to convey. Everyone should bring lightweight outerwear. We may want folks to be coming in from outside.

The color palette will naturally follow the season. Neutrals like grey, brown, tan, dk green, navy, burgundy, teal, gold, black. We welcome some pattern, just not too bold or busy. These are professionals, after all :-)

Everyone should bring several options of all the things listed below in the specific categories. We will want to mix it up a bit. You should always wear one of your options to the set to help us save time in the beginning. WE HAVE TO SHOOT 3 SCREEN DAYS, SO WE NEED LOTS OF OPTIONS TO PULL OUT 3 DAYS WORTH!

AGENTS/SR AGENTS should bring options of med to dark suits, also sport coats ans slacks. Bring options of Long Sleeve button front shirts that can be worn with jackets, as well as some that would be good without jackets. Ties should not be too loud or busy, but can have color. Don't forget your shoes and belts, handbags and jewelry to go with your outfit choices

TECHS/COMPUTER GEEKS should bring options of slacks, khakis, and jeans. Should also bring long sleeve button front shirts, some tie options, sport coats. On the other extreme you should also bring things like polo shirts and hoodies ans layers that we can mix and match to get an interesting look. Don't forget your shoes and belts and other quirky accessories.

JR ANALYSTS/CLERICAL should bring a mix option of slacks/skirts and blazers, with ties and long sleeve button front shirts/blouses. Also long sleeve shirts that could be worn without a jacket. Sweaters, long sleeve pullover shirts, jackets that are not sport coats and perhaps some options of jeans as well.

So there you have it. We look forward to meeting you and working with you. Thanks in advance for bringing lots of good stuff. We'll see you on the set!!
