Friday 9/28 CIA / D C STREETS


Hello and welcome.  Following you will find the description of the things that you should bring for your work as a Background Player on Tuesday 9/28.  There are also important instructions about other things, so please read everything carefully.

Everyone should come dressed in your first, best choice based on the descriptions, and bring the rest of your options with you so that we may have a look.  We will be choosing all of the changes for the day at the beginning of the day, so please bring everything with you when you check in.  DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CLOTHES IN YOUR CAR!!!

There are 2 units shooting tomorrow:  one at the sound stage and one on location.  Everyone will report to the stages to get ready and the location folks will be bussed to their set.  Casting should have told everyone what they are playing and you will know from that which unit you are with and which information applies to you.

1st Unit / CIA  Shooting at the Sound Stage
You will be shooting 2 screen days so please have enough of the following that we can make 2 changes of clothes.


CIA TECHS are the most casually dressed at the CIA.  You should bring several options of the following:
Khakis/skirts/slacks
Long and short sleeve casual button front shirts/blouses
Long and short sleeve casual pullover shirts/blouses (no tees)
Pullover light weight sweaters and cardigans and sweater vests
Light weight jackets/windbreakers
Hoodies and zip front jackets
Don't forget your shoes to go with these options.

CIA JR & SR ANALYSTS are the mid range of dress at the CIA.  You should bring several options of the following:
Sport coats/blazers
Khakis/skirts/slacks
Long and short sleeve casual and dress shirts/blouses
Polo shirts
Pullover light weight sweaters and cardigan style sweaters
Don't forget your shoes and other accessories to go with these options.

CIA SUITS & SENTRY are the highest level of dress at the CIA.  You should bring several options of the following:
Medium to dark suits
Ties
Long sleeve dress shirts/blouses
Don't forget your dress shoes and belts to work with these options.

2nd Unit / D C STREETS  Shooting on Location
It may be chilly tomorrow night so everyone should bring light weight jackets and cardigans, sweaters, etc as choices to be worn as part of your costume for the day, as instructed below. You should also bring a heavier coat or jacket for your own comfort to keep you warm while you are not on camera. The Costume Dept WILL NOT have coats to keep you warm.  If you think that you might need a comfort coat, you should bring it yourself.

Two of you gentlemen know that you will also be reprising your roles as Secret Service. 

ND BACKGROUND WITH CARS / BUS PASSENGERS / PEDESTRIANS
Some of you may be used in a couple of different ways, so please bring enough options that we can get more than one change of clothing, if necessary.

Everyone should bring several options of casual clothing to include the following:

non-ripped nice jeans, khakis, slacks and skirts
long and short sleeve casual tops and shirts, both button front and pullover
long and short sleeve tees without logos or artwork
cardigans and other light weight sweaters
light weight jackets
Don't forget the shoes to work with the options that you are bringing.
caps and hats without logos and other artwork might also be a nice touch.

Women please bring handbags that work with your clothing options.

SECRET SERVICE  should bring a dark suit; black, navy or dark grey, and a white long sleeve dress shirt.  You should also bring a selection of dark ties.  These ties can have some subtle pattern or texture.
Don't forget your black dress shoes, socks and black belt to work with your dark suit.
