Tues, Wed, Thursday 8/6, 8/7 8/8 HENNING ESTATE

Hello everyone and welcome.  There may be several of you that are new to our show and we are glad you will be joining us.  Following you will find instructions for what to bring in your role as a Background Player on our show.  There will also be photographs to help guide you as the look for these days is very specific. Please read everything carefully and pay special attention to the categories that apply to you.

Everyone should come dressed in their first, best choice and bring your other options with you when you check in so that we may look at them.  DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CLOTHES IN THE CAR!!

There will be different categories of GUESTS throughout the three days and several, if not all of you, will be in different situations requiring different clothing.

As you can already tell from the first couple of images, this is a "Weekend in the Hamptons" kind of thing.  The activities will be things like swimming and croquet on the lawn and it all takes place on a horse estate.  It's all very Brooks Bros, very Ralph Lauren.

There are plenty of photos here for you to look through to get the idea of what we are wanting   There are also notes scattered throughout the photos.  You will have to scroll through them to get to the categories at the bottom to read what specifically we will want from different people.  Take a moment as you scroll down to look the images over and read the text.  Even if they do not apply to you, it will help you in your choices to see how you will fit into the whole picture.

Many of the looks are very colorful and many are more neutral.  We want our look to be a mix of both.  If you have one or the other, great!  If you have both, bring it all!

Some of you will also be told that you will be by the pool.  You will need to bring swimwear and other poolside clothing.  There is a category at the bottom for GUEST SWIMMERS that has more specific information about this change.

Both Women and Men will need to bring a darker evening change for the after dinner scenes.  These clothes should have the same "country gentleman and lady" feel but in tones of black, navy, grey, dark greens, burgundy, etc.  These should have an cocktail hour feel, but no sequins or flash.  Not club clothes.  See the images above.

Kids should also be dressed like their parents for the day.  The kids will not have an evening/dinner change.  See some of the images here for an example of the look.

The image just above and to the right is an example of how the look can be less colorful and still be correct.  The look to the left is great too and full of color.

All of these looks are classic and would fit nicely into a country weekend.

Even a more sporty look would also be appropriate.















Now for the categories of our "Weekend on the Country Estate"......

MALE GUESTS should wear and bring as many options of the following items.  Please reference the photos above for the "country weekend" look that we are wanting to achieve.  You will see photos of items with a great deal of color and photos that are more neutral.  We would like both.  Remember that all guests will need a day change and a darker, slightly more formal evening change. Please bring several options of the following:
dark suit, dark sport coat and slacks for evening
light colored long and short sleeve button front shirts
polo shirts
light colored sports coat for day time wear
light colored slacks, linen slacks, khakis
walking shorts
tennis sweaters, tennis sweater vests, cardigans, golf sweaters
Shoes appropriate for your day time options and shoes for your evening change

FEMALE GUESTS should wear and bring as many options of the following items.  Please reference the photos above for the "country weekend" look that we are wanting to achieve.  You will see photos of items with a great deal of color and photos that are more neutral.  We would like both.  Remember that all guests will need a day change and a darker, slightly more formal evening change. Please bring several options of the following:
darker dresses, slacks or pantsuits for evening change
sundresses, day dresses
skirts, walking shorts, capri pants, linen pants
pullover and button front tops
sweater sets, cardigans, pullover sweaters
light weight blazers
simple, tasteful jewelry
shoe options for your evening change, shoes options for your day change

YOUNG MEN AND YOUNG WOMEN should look at the photos above and bring options of preppy clothing to include long and short sleeve button front shirts/tops, polo shirts, walking shorts, slacks/skirts, khakis, blazers, cardigans, tennis sweaters and sweater vests, sundresses.  Please bring shoes appropriate for the clothing choices.  Please bring things that do not have obvious logos on them.  Ex. Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, etc.  We can use clothing from these places, just not the things that have logos that are large and obvious.

CHILDREN should have options that look like the photos above to include:  long and short sleeve button front shirts and tops, polo shirts, colorful tees without artwork or logos, shorts, dresses, slacks/skirts, khakis,
cardigan sweaters and sweater vests.  Please do not bring things with obvious logos or artwork.  Ex, no Disney or other recognizable artwork.  Girls clothes should be feminine and boys clothes should be more preppy or sporty.  Again, please reference the photographs above for examples of these looks.

GUEST/SWIMMERS Some of you will also be told that you will be by the pool.  You will need to bring swimwear and other poolside clothing.  Your swimsuits should be as tasteful as your day clothing options.  This is not Panama City so please keep colors and patterns subdued and simple. This applies to both men and women.  Guys, solid colored swimsuits and shorts would be best.  If there is pattern, simple is better.   Women bring wraps, sarongs and cover ups as well as your swim suits.  Please bring both one piece and two piece options.  Men also bring short sleeve button up or pullover shirts that you could wear with your swim suit, if necessary.  Don't forget your sandals or other poolside footwear.  Moms and Dads bring tees for your children, as well as their swim suits, and also their poolside footwear.

ESTATE STAFF / TOWEL BOY / SERVER / VALETS / BARTENDERS / CHEF  will be given costumes by the Costume Dept.  You will be given white pants/shorts and a polo.  A belt will also be provided.  You should bring your own white sneakers or deck shoes, and white socks or ankle socks.  Guys please also bring a white short sleeve undershirt.  As I said you will be wearing white pants, so everyone should also wear white underwear.
Everyone should also bring a pair of black pants and black shoes, women please bring flats.  Some of you will be working as servers in the night scenes and will need these items to wear with a black polo shirt given to you by the Costume Dept.  

LIFEGUARD should bring a solid colored swimsuit and tank.  Perhaps you wear this when you are working as a lifeguard.  Don't forget to bring flip flops or sandals for poolside wear.

LIMO DRIVERS should bring a dark suit; black, navy or dark grey, and a white long sleeve dress shirt.  You should also bring a selection of dark ties.  These ties can have some subtle pattern or texture.

SECRET SERVICE  should bring a dark suit; black, navy or dark grey, and a white long sleeve dress shirt.  You should also bring a selection of dark ties.  These ties can have some subtle pattern or texture.

VA STATE PATROL CAR POLICE  will be given costume pieces by the Costume Dept.  You should bring a white short sleeve undershirt, black shoes and black socks.

VA STATE MOTORCYCLE POLICE will be bringing and wearing your own complete Motorcycle Patrol uniform.

TYCOON AND TYCOON'S WIFE should look at the photos and read the descriptions for the MALE AND FEMALE GUESTS and bring several choices of what you find written there.

CROQUET LADY should look at the photos and read the description of what is written for FEMALE GUESTS and bring several choices of what you find there.
