TGIF!!!!!!!!
Got a couple of things going on today and they will both be listed here. The first info is for the folks that will be working as the "TV Crew" at the Brody house. If you are working at the Dry Cleaner Patron photo shoot, scroll down a bit to the bottom of this post.
Please bring the clothes that you wore on camera the last time that you worked as the Film Crew on Monday of this week. In addition please bring several more options as we will need to pull out an additional 2 screen days worth of clothes.
We are in late winter/early spring, so all choices should have long sleeves and everyone should bring light weight jackets and outer wear. Layers are good here.
The color palette is also one of late winter: neutrals like tan, brown, grey, cream, black and colors like burgundy, dk green, navy, etc. Panttern and texture is good, just nothing to loud or busy.
Following find the looks of the different categories:
GRIPS, ELECTRICIANS, CAMERA MEN, SOUNDMEN & PA should all bring lots of options to include jeans, cargo pantsm long sleeve tees, short sleeve tees for layering, long sleeve thermal pullovers, hoodies, caps with no logos, closed toe shoes that you could work in and a mid to light weight jacket.
DP, PRODUCERS ASSISTANT, PRODUCTION DESIGNER & STYLISTS should all bring lots of options to include jeans, khakis, slacks/skirts, long sleeve button front and pullover shirts and blouses, sweaters, hoodies, fashion jackets and mid to light weight outerwear jackets. Don't forget the shoes, belts and accessories that work with you choice of clothing.
Now for the DRY CLEANER PATRON PHOTO SHOOT...
For the photo shoot we will be shooting a range of socio-economic backgrounds. This means that everyone should bring options that include both casual and more dressy clothing. For example, the men might bring jeans and a tee and hoodie as well as a sport coat & slacks or a suit and tie. For women perhaps it is jeans and a top as well as a dress or skirt and blouse. These are just examples of the variety of things that we need you to bring. Please pack more than what I just described. Bring options of all kinds of clothing casual to dressy.
They are wanting the capability of making this look as if the people have been photographed on a couple of different occasions. Everyone should also include a light weight jacket that we could put over something to make it look different. If you have longer outerwear such as a trench coat, please include that as well. Men and women both should also include any ball caps or hats that have no obvious logos. Any accessories that you might have such as light weight scarves, vests, etc would be helpful as well.
Thanks to everyone for all the good stuff that I know that you will bring. We really appreciate all of your efforts. You are helping the show to look great!!
See you on the set.
This blog is for the Background Players of the show HOMELAND. Here you'll find the information you will need for costume options, colors and all other tidbits that the Costume Department may have for you.

TUESDAY 7/14 MORGUE, FAST FOOD, DRIVERS
Hello all. Wide range for tomorrow! Following find the general instruction for the day and the specific instructions for different BG roles:
We are playing late winter/early spring. This means long sleeve shirts, light weight jackets, sweaters, hoodies, etc. Everyone needs to have a mid to light weight jacket with them.
The color palette is also one of last winter/early spring: tan, brown, grey, black, cream, burgandy, dk green, navy, teal, etc. Pattern and texture is good, just nothing too busy or eye catching.
MR REED please bring the entire outfit that you wore for your audition as well as any other cream, tan or light grey shirts, and ties that would work with them, that you might have.
MRS REED as we spoke about the day of your audition, the look you had was good, we just need something a bit more seasonal. So options of the same kind of thing in darker colors with dark closed toe shoes and a trench or light weight overcoat if you have one.
MEDICAL EXAMINER should bring choices of long sleeve shirts and blouses, dress slacks and skirts to wear under lab coats which will be provided by the Costume Dept. Men please bring tie choices, nothing to busy or too colorful. Bring the appropriate shoes for the clothes that you are bringing.
MORGUE WORKERS Will be given scrubs by the Costume Dept. You should bring with you long sleeve tees to layer under, and women maybe also bring a cardigan to layer over. Please consult the color palette above for those choices. Also please bring sneakers, the more subtle, the better. Dirty, duller sneakers are actually better for camera than brand new bright white. Tan or grey, navy or black, or a white that is not too white.
FAST FOOD PATRON, PRECISION DRIVERS AND BG WITH CARS should bring options of basic casual clothing to include jeans, khakis, skirts, long sleeve shirts and blouses, sweaters, hoodies, light to mid weight jackets. Everyday wear, but it is late winter/early spring. Closed toe shoes.
Thanks in advance to everyone for all the great stuff. We look forward to meeting and working with you. See you on the set!!

WED 7/13 NIGHTCLUB
Hi folks! So glad you'll be joining us. At least you will not be out in the sun in winter coats, as many of our other BG players have had to do. If any of you have been with us on those days, all we can say is thank you!
We are still playing late winter, but seasonal rules don't always apply as much when talking about night life. This will be a sophisticated and upscale place so we want everyone to look great. Ladies, I know that even in the winter you don't always wear a coat when going out.
Freeze from the car to the bar!! However, if you would include a wrap or a pashmina or something like that then we can winter it up a bit.
The palette is still one of late winter: darker colors and patterns, greys, blacks, browns, burgundy, teal, dk green, navy, ect.
So no bright, primary colors or summer colors.
EVERYONE SHOULD WEAR THEIR FIRST CHOICE AND BRING THE OTHER CHOICES TO EXTRAS HOLDING WITH YOU WHEN YOU CHECK IN.

BARTENDERS all black. Black slacks or very dark black jeans, black belt and black shoes. The top can be a black tee or tank whatever you have and whatever you look sexy in. Same for the female bartenders, except make it a black short skirt.
WAITRESSES all black as well. Black skirts and black tees, tops and tanks. Bring us some choices if you have them. Don't forget your sexy shoes!! and statement jewelry as well as some jewelry that is more subdued.
PRINCE'S BODY GUARDS should bring dark suits, shoes and belts. Shirts in white, cream, lt grey, and dark, more simple ties.
PRINCE'S LADIES should bring as many choices as you have. Think sophisticated and elegant, but SEXY!! Short shorts, mini skirts and tops, little dresses, halter dresses, etc and sexy shoes!!
Don't forget your jewels!! Bring a pashmina or wrap if you have it. And bring handbags to work with your choices.
BOUNCER all black. Tight black tee and black slacks or dark black jeans. Black shoes and belt.

TUESDAY 7/12 MALL & BRODY HOUSE
Hello folks. Following you find the information for Tuesday, 7/12, for work at the MALL and exterior BRODY HOUSE. Everyone will essentially be playing 3 people. 1 outside the mall, 1 outside BRODY'S house, and one inside the mall. We will need everyone to bring enough of the following to make up three different folks.
We are playing late winter/early spring, so everyone must bring mid to light weight outer wear in the color palette because 2 of the scenes tomorrow are outdoors. Also, everyone should bring hats and scarves and gloves, because we are shooting something to insert in an existing scene where everyone has on these items.
The color palette is one of neutrals: black, brown, grey, tan, cream. And colors like dk green, teal, burgundy, purple, gold, etc. Pattern and texture is good, just nothing too bold or busy.
As you will all have to bring some of everything, I am going to describe the kinds of things that we want for the different scenes.
INTERIOR MALL bring selections of jeans, slacks, skirts. Long sleeve shirts and blouses. Also sweaters, hoodies, light weight fashion jackets. You should all have some choices of more dressy and more casual so that we can mix it up. Remember that you are in a mall so don't make the dressy TOO dressy. Of course, don't forget appropriate shoes for all your choices, as well as the belts, jewelry and other accessories, including hats and scarves. Ladies, please bring a handbag that will work with your costume choices.
OLD LADY WITH WALKER please bring pantsuits, dresses, onion skin track suits, polyester slacks, and tops and cardigan sweaters, etc. Basically, it's your quintiscential TV grandma. Please bring some vintage jewelry, if you have it as well as things that are current. Sneakers and other "comfortable" shoes. Don't forget the fantastic vintage handbag that I am sure you have.
EXTERIOR MALL the kinds of clothing is the same as for the INTERIOR MALL, but we must wear mid to light weight jackets, hats and scarves. Everyone must bring these as options for the exterior scenes.
EXTERIOR BRODY HOUSE will once again be outside and once again be inserted into a scene that we shot during the actual winter, so this one needs to match the footage that we have. This means coats, scarves and hats... Following you will find the division of Who's Who and what the look is for each:
Reporters should have both a more dressy look and a more casual. The dressy look to be something for "on air" reporters, like suits, sportcoats/blazers and slacks or skirts, long sleeve shirts and blouses, ties and scarves and jewelry and other accessories. Trench coats and long overcoats are best with this look.
The casual look for Reporters can be one of jeans, khakis with pullover sweaters, cardigans, sweater sets, long sleeve button front shirts and blouses maybe with ties and no sport coat/blazer. More casual outer wear will be fine for this look.
Photographers, Cameramen and Soundmen should bring changes to include jeans and khakis and cargo pants & black or grey pants. Looking for layers here. Vests, sweaters, hoodies, etc. Everyone should bring winter coats in the same neutral color palette as well as any scarves, caps and winter gloves that you have. Nothing too bright or eye-catching. Not too much pattern.
Cop(s) will be provided a uniform from the Costume Department. However, we ask that you bring a white, crew neck tee shirt, black socks and black lace up shoes.
Thanks in advance for bringing great stuff and lots of it. We have to be able to do the multiple day/mulitple person thing, so we will need lots of choices. We are looking forward to meeting you all and will see you on the set!!!

FRIDAY 7/8
It's a pool party, baby! So we are shooting what is to be the pool area and locker room of an upscale hotel. That means that you ladies will be upscale guests! This pool is an indoor pool.
We feel that darker and/or more solid swimsuits will communicate the upscale nature better than brightly colored, multi-patterned suits. Black, navy, taupe, even cream or paler colors as long as they are solid in color. Darker is preferred, but we recognize that you will have what you have. It is fine for the suits to have embellishments such as sequins or rhinestones.
Also, please feel free to bring cover-up garments, poolside bags, sunglasses, nice flip flops and sandles. Also, some blingy type jewelry might be a fun twist, so bring a bag of that as well.
HOTEL POOL WORKER should bring options of black, khaki and grey slacks, and black, khaki or grey shorts. Longer shorts, or walking shorts would be preferrable. Also any solid colored polo shirts that you might have including black, navy, pale blue, grey, etc. Just nothing too summery in color. Shoes should be a small, subtle sneaker or perhaps a boat shoe like a TopSider.
Thanks in advance for all the great things that we know you will bring. We look forward to working with you. See you on the set!!!
